Live CV

Your professional record. Verified, public, current.

The single source of truth for who you trained with, when you qualified, and what cover you carry. Not a profile you write. A record we verify.

The substance

Not a bio. A credential record.

Standard teacher bios are written by the teacher. Live CV is written by the system. Provider-confirmed training, time-stamped qualifications, currently-active insurance — published in one place, owned by you, validated by us.

i.

Provider-confirmed training.

When you submit your certification, we verify directly with your training provider that the course was delivered, the dates align, and the lead teacher's name matches the issued certificate. The provider confirms; the record stands.

ii.

Time-stamped qualifications.

Every credential carries a verification date. Studios and students see when each line was confirmed. Old, expired, or revoked entries don't quietly vanish — they're marked. The record is honest about its own age.

Why dates matter
iii.

Currently-active cover.

Your insurance status appears live. If a policy lapses, the CV shows it. If renewed, the CV updates within one business day. No back-dated records, no overstated cover, no claims that quietly expired.

The process

From submission to public, one business day.

Most credential systems are slow because they pretend to be careful. We're fast because the verification is concrete: we contact the training provider, confirm the cohort, and timestamp the result. No queue, no committee, no theatre.

1

Submit your certificate.

Scan or photo of your provider-issued certificate, plus your cohort dates.

2

We verify with your provider.

Direct confirmation with the SYT lead or training provider administration.

3

Time-stamp and publish.

Verified entry appears on your public Live CV with the verification date.

4

Insurance activates.

If eligible, the relevant Professional Yoga Teacher policy steps up within the same business day.

The reader's view

Public credentials. No marketing.

When a studio searches our directory and clicks your name, they see the verified record — not the marketing version. This is the surface that wins bookings, because it's the surface that earns trust.

i.

Verified qualifications, top of page.

Every confirmed training cohort, with provider name, dates, and verification stamp. The studio sees what the certificate says — and that we've checked it.

ii.

Currently-active insurance.

Live cover status with policy figure (£6M / €6.5M / $2M) and named underwriter. The studio knows what's behind you before they hand you a class.

iii.

Years on the register.

How long you've been a YogaPros member. Time itself becomes part of the credential — a record that compounds the longer you keep it current.

Why tenure counts
Maintenance

It updates while you teach.

A Live CV that goes stale is worse than no CV at all. The system maintains itself in three ways.

i.

New trainings auto-prompt.

Complete a 300hr+? Submit it; we verify; CV updates. The flow is on rails — the new credential appears once the provider confirms.

Submit a new training
ii.

Insurance renewal sync.

When you renew, the CV reflects within hours — no manual edit needed. The cover line and the underwriting body update in step with the policy itself.

Renewal cadence
iii.

Annual confirmation.

Once a year, a 30-second confirmation prompt; if you don't respond within 30 days, the CV marks itself "unconfirmed for the year". The record stays honest about its own state.

What unconfirmed means
Adjacent surfaces

What sits beside it.

Three surfaces that complete the picture: the standards Live CV verifies, the cover that activates with it, and the directory studios search.

Common questions about Live CV

What teachers actually ask.

One business day from submission to public, in standard cases. We contact your training provider directly, confirm the cohort and dates, then time-stamp and publish. If your provider is unresponsive or the cohort details are ambiguous, we contact you with the specific question and the timeline extends until it is resolved.
We have alternate verification paths — co-trainee records, government registry checks, archived ATP records. The verification still works in most cases; the timeline can extend to three or four business days. Contact the member experience team if your training provider has closed.
Edited, yes. Hidden, no — the record is public by design. You can update your bio, location, teaching styles, and contact preferences at any time. The verified credential entries themselves cannot be removed; that is what makes them credible to studios and students.
For many members, yes. Your Live CV is a verified professional page you can send to studios, students, and venues. It carries your qualifications, teaching styles, locations, and insurance status. For teachers building a wider brand, it sits alongside a personal website rather than replacing it.
Your Live CV displays insurance status in real time. If a policy lapses for any reason, the CV reflects it within hours. If a renewal completes, the CV updates within one business day. This means studios and students always see the cover situation as it actually is — not as it was at the last manual update.
