Empathy

You built something that means something. The market doesn't always show it.

You spent years developing a training programme. You know the difference between a teacher who graduated from your course and one who watched videos for a weekend. Your students know it too.

But when a prospective trainee searches for teacher training, they see your programme next to courses with half the contact hours, a fraction of the rigour, and half the price. The market rewards volume. Your work deserves recognition.

That's not a failing of your programme. It's a failing of the profession's standards.

Accreditation makes the difference visible. Not to you — you already know your programme works. To every prospective student deciding where to invest their money and their future.

The accreditation process

Four steps to accreditation.

Straightforward, thorough, and designed to prove what you already know — that your programme meets the highest standard.

I

Application

Submit your course for review. Syllabus, lead teacher, contact hours.

II

Assessment

We verify everything. SYT lead. 180 live hours. 70% delivery.

III

Accreditation

Your course is listed. Graduates register directly. Brand Page goes live.

IV

Annual Review

Quality audit. Graduate feedback. Continuous improvement.

Expertise
Your Brand Page
Your school, your courses, your team — all in one verified presence
Your Brand

Your school deserves its own home.

A verified Brand Page for your training school. List your courses, your team, your upcoming events, your graduate outcomes. All connected to your teachers' Live CVs.

Prospective students see your accreditation, your team credentials, and your track record — before they enquire.

Real scenario

A prospective trainee in Edinburgh compares three teacher training courses. Yours has a verified Brand Page showing accredited status, SYT-led delivery, and graduate success stories. The others have a landing page and an Instagram link. She chooses yours.

Graduate Pipeline
Your graduates register directly. Their credentials link back to you.
Graduate outcomes

Your graduates' success is your proof.

When your graduates complete your course, they register with YogaPros directly. Their Live CV credits your training school. Their success builds your reputation.

Every graduate who teaches, gets insured, and builds a career is a living endorsement of your programme.

Real scenario

A graduate from your 2024 cohort registers, completes her Live CV, and within six months is teaching four regular classes. When prospective trainees visit your Brand Page, they see her story — and they see that your programme produces working teachers, not just certificates.

200hrs
Our standards

The bar that separates you from the rest.

200 hours minimum. 180 live contact hours. Lead teacher holds SYT status — 8 years, 4,000 hours. 70% of contact hours delivered by the lead. No pre-recorded content for foundation training.

Not every course meets this standard. The ones that do stand out.

What this means for you

Your accreditation proves to every prospective student that your programme meets the highest standard in the profession. It's not a badge — it's a verified guarantee of quality that no self-declared certification can match.

The growth path

What your graduates actually need.

Your programme teaches the craft. But a teaching career needs more than technique. The graduates who thrive are the ones who get all three.

Teaching

Your craft

Reading the room. Adjusting. Growing your practice alongside theirs. This is the part you trained for — and the part you'll keep learning your whole life.

Business

Your work

How people find you. How classes fill. How you stop trading every hour of your week for money. This is the part almost no one was taught.

Wellbeing

Your mind

What you tell yourself about money, about worth, about whether this is possible. The quiet beliefs that decide, long before Tuesday, whether the class will fill.

Foresight

The training market is splitting. Which side are you on?

Online-only, pre-recorded, weekend certification courses are multiplying. They're cheaper, faster, and producing teachers who don't feel ready to teach. The market is saturated with providers competing on price.

The training schools that survive are the ones whose graduates succeed. Not the ones with the lowest price or the fastest qualification. The ones whose teachers are still teaching in five years.

Accreditation is becoming the filter

Prospective trainees are learning to ask: "Is this course accredited?" Studios are asking: "Where was this teacher trained?" Unaccredited courses will struggle to recruit.

Graduate outcomes are the proof

The conversation is shifting from "how many hours?" to "how many graduates are still teaching?" Your graduate pipeline is your strongest marketing asset.

Contact hours matter more than ever

As pre-recorded content floods the market, the value of live, in-person, contact-hour training is increasing. Your 180-hour minimum is a competitive advantage, not a burden.

Common questions

What you need to know.

In your language, not institutional small print.

Applying for accreditation
What courses qualify?
Foundation teacher training courses of 200 hours or more with a minimum of 180 live contact hours. The lead teacher must hold Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) status — 8 years and 4,000 hours minimum.
What does the assessment cover?
We verify your syllabus, lead teacher credentials, contact hour structure, supporting teacher qualifications, and delivery model. Everything is reviewed by our standards team — not auto-approved.
How long does accreditation take?
Most applications are reviewed within 2-4 weeks. If we need additional information, we'll contact you directly. The process is thorough but not bureaucratic.
Requirements
Who can be lead teacher?
The lead teacher must hold SYT status with YogaPros — a minimum of 8 years teaching experience and 4,000 hours. They must deliver at least 70% of contact hours personally.
What counts as live contact hours?
Real-time teaching — in person or via live video. Pre-recorded content does not count towards the 180-hour contact requirement for foundation training. Development courses have different rules.
Can we have guest teachers?
Yes. Up to 30% of contact hours can be delivered by supporting teachers. They must hold Experienced Yoga Teacher (EYT) status or equivalent specialist qualifications — minimum 4 years and 2,000 hours.
After accreditation
How does the Brand Page work?
Your Brand Page is your verified school profile. It lists your courses, team, events, and graduate outcomes. Prospective students find you through it. It's connected to your teachers' Live CVs — building trust across your entire operation.
How do graduate registrations work?
When your graduates complete your course, they register with YogaPros directly. Their Live CV credits your training school as their qualification source. Their success builds your reputation.
