Accredited yoga teacher training. The shortlist.

The directory of YogaPros-accredited training providers — filtered by region, lineage, and format. Every listing meets the live-contact-hour standard, with a named SYT lead and verified cohort outcomes.

The standard

What "accredited" means on this directory.

Most accreditation systems verify paperwork. We verify substance. Three things every listed training has done — without exception, without grandfathering.

i.

Live contact hours, audited.

180 of the 200 hours minimum, delivered live. Self-paced video does not count toward the floor. We audit the schedule before listing and re-audit annually.

ii.

Named lead teacher, verified.

Every listed training has a named Senior Yoga Teacher (SYT) personally delivering at least 70 percent of the live contact. The lead's qualification is verified through Live CV; their continuity is checked annually.

How verification works
iii.

Cohort outcomes, tracked.

We track five-year retention for graduates of every accredited training. Providers whose cohorts underperform on retention or insurance acceptance face annual review. The directory is a working register, not a brochure.

Three doors into the directory.

Most prospective trainees know one of these three things first. Start with the one you are sure about and let the directory narrow from there.

After graduation

What an accredited training opens.

Three things only available to graduates of YogaPros-accredited trainings, on the day they qualify.

i.

Live CV verification on day one.

Your accredited cohort is pre-verified by us. On graduation day, your Live CV updates with one form — no provider chasing required, no document ambiguity, one business day to public.

ii.

Full insurance at graduation rate.

The Professional Yoga Teacher policy steps up from your trainee cover automatically. £6M PL/PI in the UK. €6.5M in Ireland. $2M in the USA. Underwritten by Balens, Balens Europe, and Insurance Canopy respectively.

iii.

Listing on the public directory.

Once verified, you appear in the YogaPros member directory — searchable by region, lineage, and language. Studios and students looking for verified teachers find you here.

Common questions about training selection

What prospective trainees actually ask.

It means the provider has passed our standards review and annual audit. Three things every accredited training has: 180 of 200 hours delivered live, a named SYT lead delivering at least 70 percent of the live contact, and graduate retention figures we track. Listing on the YogaPros directory is a working register — providers whose cohorts underperform on retention face annual review.
Yes, in most cases. Membership is open to anyone whose training meets our minimum standard: 200 total hours, of which at least 180 are live contact hours with a qualified lead teacher. We verify your training certificate through Live CV. If the live contact hours fall short, the route forward is supplementary continuing education through an accredited provider to close the gap.
Residential intensives compress 200 hours into two to four weeks of full immersion. Modular formats spread the same 200 hours across weekends or evenings over six to twelve months. Hybrid mixes the two — typically a residential opening week plus modular continuation. All three formats can meet the 180-hour live-contact floor; the difference is in pace and rhythm, not in standard.
Across the YogaPros-accredited directory, current prices range from approximately £2,000 for modular formats in lower-cost regions to £4,500 for residential intensives in major cities. The price reflects faculty seniority, venue, and format — not training quality at the floor. Below £1,500, courses typically cannot afford the live contact hours we require.
We accredit providers in the UK, Ireland, the United States, and several other countries. Members of YogaPros must hold a qualification verifiable through Live CV regardless of geography. Trainings in regions where YogaPros does not directly accredit can still be member-eligible if the curriculum meets the 200hr+ minimum and provider verification is possible.
